Adults Only Anniversary WDW Itinerary
Hubby and I will be celebrating our 10th anniversary in November, and... of course we decided to go to Walt Disney World!
While I have been as an adult without kids, my husband has not, and when I went before, it was with Disney Institute, so all my activities were planned for me. This time- I get to choose what we do, when we do it, and- here it goes. This is the plan.
This is a trip without kids, so in planning where to stay, I wanted an Epcot resort, as it would be awesome to walk to Epcot any time of day. I had stayed at the Boardwalk Villas before, and decided that would be best for our anniversary! AND I could buy it through renting DVC points (for more information, see my post here), and save a bundle. So done. (P.S. Did you know its a 5 minute walk to Epcot's BACK entrance- the international gateway?)
Beginning to plan:
Hubby only asked for two things: to eat at Sci-Fi Drive in, as well as the Biergarten.
I wanted a nicer place for our anniversary dinner
Originally, we had wanted to "drink around the world" at Epcot- an adult game where you have a drink from each country in the World Showcase.... but we aren't 20 anymore, and something better came along...
About 70 days before we were to go, reservations for Highway in the Sky Dine Around. For some reason they don't release the dates until much later than usual reservations (120 days), but I was able to snag some seats! Highway in the Sky is a progressive, 5-course dinner that is served across 3 monorail resorts. It also includes private fireworks viewing at the contemporary. And done!
As we neared getting our fastpasses, we realized that we could only get one fastpass for the new Pandora- and we have little wish to stand in line. So the other splurge we added the new [announced in September] Ultimate Nights of Adventure VIP tour. This is definately expensive, and a "10th anniversary only" type of tour, but we are so excited! This 4 hour tour goes behind the scenes at Animal Kingdom, as fast-pass entrance:
Our final itinerary, then, is as follows:
Wednesday night- arrive late and stay at the Orlando Airport Hyatt. Saves money from staying in the park, and then we just wake up and roll-over to the Magical Express!
Thursday (MK)
(We have a 330 flight, so are leaving the park at noonish)
A few things to note. Yes, we used fastpasses twice on Haunted Mansion. But that is because it is Hubbys favorite ride. I know we will be riding it more than two times.
Secondly, we do have some awesome dining reservations. We were NOT the luckiest people on earth, rather we used Touring Plans Reservation finder to get those reservations that were hard to get (Sci-fi, Be our Guest).
Of course I bought us special buttons! |

We both love Be Our Guest, so we wanted to have lunch there.
I wanted to eat at the new breakfast at Trattoria al Forno and meet Repunzel
